The Focal Solo 6 ST6 Active Studio Monitor features a two-way driver configuration equipped with a a Beryllium tweeter that boasts Focals iconic inverted dome design. The Focal Solo 6 builds on the design of the Solo 6 BE with a refined design that offers an exceptional soundstage and sonic precision. At the core of the Solo 6 is a composite sandwich W cone woofer that delivers optimised dispersion control. Its neutral and transparent sound makes it perfect for mixing/mastering applications with any genre. One of the most unique features of the Solo 6 is the Focus Mode. This provides an alternate speaker configuration by turning the loudspeaker into a one-way monitor - perfect for comparing your mix on different system styles. Boasting superior sonic accuracy the Solo 6 features a variable high-pass crossover and a 160Hz crossover helping to reduce reflection and optimise sound reproduction. Also utilised is Focals patented Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology which helps to maintain optimal signal integrity and reduce distortion in the 1kHz - 3kHz frequency range (up to 50 percent). The rear panel also features attenuation controls including a high-pass filter LF shelving an LMF EQ and HF shelving. Switches are also available for sensitivity and enabling auto stand-by mode. The Solo 6 also features a sleek and stylish cabinet which helps to create fewer vibrations; resulting in minimised distortion.
