When you’re finished, you’ll have the skills to be able to paint your own bird pictures too. Pastel PencilsIt all starts with Pastel Pencils. In my 30+ Years of Experience I have found that Pastel Pencils is the by far the easiest art medium to pick up and learn. When you have finished this course not only will you walk away with 6 AMAZING Bird Paintings but you will also be able to apply what you have learnt to draw own pictures. MaterialsPastel PencilsPastel Pencils are a wonderful medium, they can be blended easily on top of each other and, because they’re in a pencil form, are very easy to use. These subjects are technically classed at an “Intermediate” level however I always say that no matter your experience, if you want to have a go, then you should. We use Pastel Pencils from a variety of brands - Faber- Castell, STABILOCarbothello, Cretacolor and Caran d’Ache. You can of course use your own brand of pastel pencil too. We provide you with colour charts so that you can compare the colours. This is a fantastic paper and can take a lot of layers. It has a sand paper like texture to it which makes it more difficult to erase mistakes on but the results you can get are worth it. If you do not have this paper you can use your own pastel paper (UART800 grit is a great alternative).Outline DrawingI provide you with a basicoutline drawing for each picture. If you wish to use this, simply tracethe outline to your paper using a graphite transfer sheet like tracedown (for dark grey paper you will benefit from using a white tracing sheet so you can see the outline more clearly).Step by Step InstructionsI walk you through step by step with video instruction how to draw each stage. You’ll learn techniques behind drawing beautiful bird pictures and createpictures you can be proud of.
