Why you should paint with Oil: Oil paints stay wet for a lot longer than acrylics, it gives you the possibility to start a painting and then come back to it after a period of time and continue where you left off. The paint on the palette will still be wet and usable; the colours on your canvas can still be blended together. Also, because of the slow drying, oil paints are great for creating subtle blends. Working wet on wet is the key to get a smooth transition in your paintings. Another pro is that if you have time for your painting, oils can be awesome. You can work with thick paint, wait a couple of days for that paint to dry then add thin glazes to create luminosity in your work. Enjoy and good luck!
