Grant-making bodies, including Government, National Lottery and trusts / foundations, will assess your charity in more detail than any other audience. They will undertake due diligence on your finances and governance and will assess your evidence of need, impact, how you involve beneficiaries in all aspects of your work, your leadership, sustainability plans and more. With so much competition for funding, it is not enough to be just another worthy cause. If you know what funders are looking for and how to manage your trust fundraising programme effectively, you can achieve a return on investment that trounces every other fundraising income stream. At KEDA Consulting, we have used our experience of securing grant funding for charities and growing trust fundraising programmes, to develop a successful five-step framework to trust fundraising. This course is designed around this trust fundraising framework. Together we are going to explore three key areas to your trust fundraising programme. We will firstly look at applications, to develop an understanding of how to prepare compelling responses to the questions funders ask you. We will also troubleshoot how to respond to those tight word counts. Next, we will look at how you can build long term relationships with funders to grow your grant income. Finally, we will look at the internal management of your trust fundraising programme. We will explore the internal processes that you need in place for your trust fundraising and will create an action plan of how you can work with your colleagues to get the information you need. Each step is broken down into bite size chunks so that you can learn as you go. There will be activities and templates and guides for you to take and apply to your charity. The more you engage with the activities, the more you will get out of the training.
