DESCRIPTION - WHY THIS COURSE?:Ive always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with serious and committed actors eager to grow and willing to put forth the suitable effort to be successful, with that said Ive helped a lot of actors that are friends and classmates advance their career. As more and more people found success word spread about my knowledge of the industry and the demand for my services increased exponentially, it was too high to work with actors in individual private sessions so I started teaching workshops in New York. As the demand for these workshops continues to grow I find it is more convenient for actors to take in the information at their own pace by implementing these workshops in a virtual classroom and guide actors that are serious about advancing their careers. YOU ARE THE CEO OF YOUR BUSINESS: The terms You are a Business and CEO of your Brand are probably terms you have heard at one industry event or another but most do not really understand the meaning behind these terms. After graduating Penn State with a degree in business I began working as an Account Executive at CBS, after 5 successful years of working at this fortune 500 company I learned many tools and knowledge necessary to run a successful business. After returning to the field of theater and film I decided to learn as much as possible about the Acting industry so that I could incorporate the knowledge I learned into my career as an actor. Keep this in mind: Every successful business from the local mom & pop store to the well known fast food chains have developed and implemented a business strategy that has lead to their success; if as actors we are brands then as the CEO why do most actors feel there is no need to create a business plan?WHAT MAKES ME SO SURE?When I first entered this industry I had a tremendous fear that I was not prepared to compete with Actors that had formal training from a conservatory or prestigious acting program so I decided to develop a self-teaching curriculum that would give me confidence and focus in the art for acting in film, television and theater. This resulted in me reading over 70 books about acting written by successful working actors and renowned acting coaches. During my study of the art I came to the realization that many of these working actors although successful were still lacking knowledge about the business side of this industry. This peaked my curiosity to understand this industry from various perspectives including the Directors, Producers, Filmmakers, Managers, Agency and Casting Directors. Ive read a number of books, attended workshops, and question many working professionals in this industry to understand how it works as a whole. I attribute my success to not only I was wrong instrument and work ethic to study the craft but also a clear and concise understanding of the business which has taken by Actor from a level of novice filmmaking to booking rolls in major motion pictures and Primetime networks series. I am constantly attending union & industry workshops, reading books and staying abreast of the changes in our industry to better understand how to use and position it for the actors advantage. PROVEN TRACK RECORD: The knowledge you will learn in this course took years and years to acquire from countless mistakes made, time and resources wasted; my goal is to help those that are serious and dedicated to save time and energy to reach their goals in efficiently.
