In this beginner course we’ll cover some of the basic tools and tips you’ll use over and over again as you progress in the software. By the end of this course you’ll have completed 4 different projects: A Simple Logo Reveal, A Lower Third Title, 4 Custom Transitions, and a Sexy Title Reveal! We’ll discuss how to set up a composition, creating a title using the text tool and character settings, using the pen tool and it’s stroke to create a simple line, animating with the trim paths operation and the position and opacity parameters. Lastly, we’ll cover how to reveal a layer using masks. We’ll discuss how to design a Lower Third using Shape Layers, Gradient Ramps, and After Effect’s other built in tools. Next, I will teach you how to create a simple animation using basic keyframes. Fun, easy, fast to render, and looks great! Use the basics I share to create your own unique transitions! For the fourth and final project you’ll learn how to create a title using the text tool and character settings, animate using shape layers and the scale property, mirror layers, adjust keyframes, use track mattes, and create a stroke and background for your text. Lastly, we’ll cover how to polish the look by color correcting and creating a vignette. After this course, you’ll have what you need to advance further in the software and tackle your first projects!
